Thank you for visiting Friends of Cats and Dogs Foundation! FCDF is an all-volunteer organization serving the Birmingham, Alabama area with our programs available to the community. Our mission is to stop pet overpopulation through our Low Cost Spay/Neuter Program, participation in the S.N.I.P. program, and free Spay / Neuter Clinics. We are trying desperately to educate Birmingham of the importance of spaying and neutering along with the humane treatment of animals.

FCDF is a virtual organization. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, but have taken on the initiative of creating a Virtual Kennel to help the many homeless animals in Birmingham find homes. We allow the community and other animal welfare organizations to use our website as a tool to promote the availability of the cats and dogs in their care. Through our website, we have helped many people/organizations find thousands of animals great new homes.

	License plates to assist Spay-Neuter programs in Alabama Ask for tag #88 Over 135,000 dogs and cats are euthanized each year in Alabama. Have you completed a "Commitment to Purchase" application for a Spay-Neuter tag yet? 1000 commitments must be collected by Nov 1, 2008 for the program to go forward. Each tag generates $41.25 for S/N programs in Alabama and will help ease suffering of animals in Alabama by helping to control pet-overpopulation. Click here for more information.
